GETTLIFFE ARCHITECTURE WINS THE AIA ARCHITECT’S CHOICE AWARD 2011

Boulder, Colorado – (October 31, 2011) – In recognition for excellent design and construction of a retreat home in Crestone, Gettliffe Architecture wins the AIA Architect’s Choice Award 2011. The project is also featured in Luxe magazine for the fall 2011 issue.

GETTLIFFE ARCHITECTURE ON MOUNTAIN LIVING’S LIST OF TOP ARCHITECTS FOR FIVE YEARS RUNNING

Boulder, Colorado – (October 11, 2011) – For five years running, from 2006 through 2011, Gettliffe Architecture has been named on Mountain Living Magazine’s “A-List” of Top 100 Mountain Architects. The award is given to architects throughout the Western United States “who continually redefine our concept of mountain design” and “whose work informs and inspires us all.”

GROUND BROKEN ON ANOTHER 22nd STREET GETTLIFFE HOME

Boulder, Colorado – (October 1, 2006) – Construction has begun on a Gettliffe Architecture home on 22nd Street using a large, old Maple as focal point. The home, its roof deck and outdoor rooms embrace the tree, which offers protection from afternoon sun in warm weather, but lets sun and Flatiron views through bare branches in winter.

HISTORIC HOME ADDS LIGHT TO CHARACTER

Boulder, Colorado – (July 26, 2006) – Gettliffe Architecture has begun construction of a home it redesigned at 1333 Cascade Ave., Boulder. Gettliffe redesigned the 1940s home to preserve its historic character while opening it to the south to admit natural lighting and warmth. Gettliffe is online at www.gettliffe.com.

PASSIVE SOLAR HOME READY FOR ENERGY SAVINGS

Boulder, Colorado – (July 12, 2006) – Gettliffe Architecture has completed work on a passive solar home that replaces a 1948 post-World War II home. South-facing windows, concrete floors, blown cellulose insulation and air-to-air heat exchange provide energy efficiency. The home was designed for Jane Twigg and Douglas Carroll.
