As Architectural Intern, Kate assists in ongoing tasks at different stages of project development. Kate prioritizes maintaining a relationship between landscape and architecture and integrating site, climate, and seasons into the design. She utilizes a pragmatic approach that harmonizes the clients’ needs with sustainable design options.
Kate grew up in Saudi Arabia and as a young child was able travel frequently to Europe, Asia, and Egypt. Her family then moved to The Woodlands, Texas, an ecologically master-planned community incorporating environmental design principles espoused by Ian McHarg, Landscape Architect and writer of “Design With Nature.” She attended the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago and graduated with a Bachelors of Architecture. She also attended a summer program in Architecture at the Parsons School of Design in New York.
Kate is also an avid reader and book collector, landscape photographer, oil painter, dog lover, and passionate rock climber, ice climber, and mountaineer.
