Founder and architect Dominique Gettliffe brings his deep architectural and construction expertise to bear on each of our projects. Personable, perceptive, and always bringing new perspectives to light, Dominique applies his discerning eye and passion for all forms of design to our client process. He expresses his sensitivity to space and people in the structures he creates, each project telling a story through architecture.
Dominique’s interest in design that promotes dynamic communities is central to Gettliffe Architecture’s involvement in community-centered and humanitarian architecture projects throughout the world. Ecotourism design in particular unites his expertise and passion for artful, sustainable architecture with the adventures of community process. His architectural expertise and drive to create uplifting, inspiring and sustainable spaces is supported by ten years of practical construction management through Gettliffe Architecture’s former subsidiary Gettliffe Construction.
Originally from the Jura Mountains in eastern France, Dominique came to Colorado from Paris in 1982 to design passive solar homes in harmony with the environment. He holds a master’s degree in architecture from l’Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris and attended the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. He formed Gettliffe Architecture in 1984 in Boulder, Colorado.
